So did any of you watch The Wizard of Oz as much as me? Oh my gosh! When I was a kid, The Wizard of Oz would come on and the world would just STOP! It was the second best day of the year (except for Christmas, OF COURSE). I couldn’t watch it alone, though. I remember that I tried one year. None of my friends came over that year and my parents wanted to watch something else. So, they were going to let me have the good TV to watch The Wizard of Oz and they were going to watch their sub-par movie in their bedroom. I remember my dad asking me if I was able to watch it alone. I was like, “uh…yeah.” I mean, I was probably like 9 whole years old. I had survived Salem’s Lot (and the subsequent year of sheer terror-filled nights). Obviously, I had snuck and watched that….I wasn’t allowed to watch those movies, really. Anyway, what was a silly little witch compared to those awful vampires right? Well, I made it through the first witch appearance (the one that interrupted the Munchkin song?). But by the time the Scarecrow and Dorothy were on the yellow brick road and the witch is sort of hiding behind that old shack, it was painfully obvious that I could NOT watch this movie alone. My mom couldn’t be bothered with me, but my dad came and watched the rest of the movie with me so I wouldn’t be afraid. So, he missed whatever show he wanted to watch so that I could watch the Wizard of Oz for the hundreth time. See why I think he’s awesome? And I gotta say….even though you KNOW those flying monkeys are really good guys who are being oppressed by the Wicked Witch…..they’re still scary. LOL…sorry for the long story….on to the layouts and your FREEBIE! If these layouts aren’t incentive to buy, I just don’t know what is! :)
From Brooklynne (lyrics are from the musical “Wicked”):
Also, another from Susan….this one was done using a template from Amy M from SDD.
And from Jenn (here is another template from Amy M…you gotta check out her templates!):
How much does my CT rock? I have really enjoyed these layouts!!!!! If you like any, feel free to stop by any of their blogs and let them know! The links are on my side bar! I’m sure they would love to hear from ya!
Here is the full kit preview again….it’s linked to my store if you want to pick it up at 30% off!
Here’s a couple of layouts from me…the first, is using one of my quickpages (available in my store):
Okay…that second one from me is my pretty little step niece. She is A) the mother of that pretty little girl that seems to ALWAYS be in my layouts, and B) probably the only person that I know who is a full grown adult and is shorter than me. ;) Anyway, I did this layout based on a layout that I did following the awesome speed scrap instructions of Sarah the Rockstar!! LOL! Are ya still with me? So, in a nutshell, it was inspired by Sarah! Another thing….see the word “Suzie”? I did that by using a glitter sheet that I made for this kit!! If you use PSP, you can place it in your patterns folder and use it instead of a flat color when you type with your fonts! Of course, that’s not the only thing you can do with them! I made one in each color from the kit….they are 6x6 .png files (I’m sorry, I’m unable to do them as .asl files at this time) and are available at my STORE for only $1.49!! And they are CU friendly!! Check it out:
And….I also used that layout to make your freebie for today! No, not another quickpage…..a TEMPLATE!! It’s my first template and I really really hope you like it. (I have to say that Jenn from my CT inspired me to start doing templates) :) It is only in .psd format, but if you need .pngs, leave me a comment and let me know….I’ll be glad to package them as .pngs for you. Just click the image below to download today’s freebie!!! (and thanks for sticking with me and all my ramblings…..you can’t believe it, but I actually cut it short! LOL!)

Looks great for a first template! I can't wait to try it out! Thanks Cindy (admitted template junkie) :D

ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with your template-making skillz! I'm going to dabble in it myself someday soon, and you've definitely inspired me. =)
ReplyDeleteLove your template, LA! Downloading it now. :) Thanks, girl!
ReplyDeleteActually, once you read "Wicked" by Gregory Maguire, you will understand that not only were the MONKEYS good guys, so was Elpheba! (the so-called wicked witch) Dorothy was just an idiotic annoying little sprat who really was pretty irrelevant to the whole Emerald City saga! ahahaha But seriously, I remember wizard of oz being such a big deal - it was such fun! Early dinner, then popcorn, then EVERYBODY I KNEW sitting in front of TV. And that time when Auntie Em turns into the witch in the ball....brrrr still get shivers from that one!
